APTET The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test – JULY- 2024 will be conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in all Districts of the State through a Computer Based Test.

The candidates belonging to Manyam and ASR (Alluri Seetha Rama Raju) districts will be accommodated in the nearby Districts. The main objective to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test is to ensure National Standards and benchmark of Teacher Quality in the recruitment process in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). One of the essential qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as teacher in any of the school (Both Government and Private) referred to in class (n) section-2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the TET conducted by the Department of School Education.

APTET Application Form 2024

The AP TET application form 2024 was released on July 4, 2024. The AP TET registration 2024 is being held on the official website- aptet.apcfss.in. Candidates must use the AP TET Apply Online 2024 link to complete the online form. Check below the step-by-step APTET application process 2024:

  • Visit the official website- aptet.apcfss.in. Click on the ‘Payment’ link and make the fee payment. You will get the ‘Candidate ID’ upon successful payment of fees. APTET Notification Details :

Online Application :

Online applications are invited for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test APTET- July-2024 from the candidates for all those aspiring to be Teachers in State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, A.P. Model Schools, A.P Residential Schools, all Welfare Society Schools, Private Aided Schools and Private Un-aided schools etc., under the control of Andhra Pradesh State for classes I to VIII. Government of India have enacted RTE Act, 2009 on 27.08.2009

titled “The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education”. Sub-Section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi has laid down minimum qualifications
for a person to be eligible for appointment as a Teacher for Classes I to VIII in its Principal Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and amendments issued thereon. The minimum qualification includes a pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) pursuant to the said guidelines; it has been decided to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Who Can Apply :

Those candidates who possess D.EL.Ed. / B.Ed. or its equivalent qualifications shown in Information Bulletin and candidates pursuing final
semester of the said courses with requisite percentage of marks obtained as given in Information Bulletin of APTET can appear for APTET-JUlLY-2024. However, the candidates intending to seek employment as a teacher in private unaided schools following Central or State syllabus shall have the option of appearing at CTET conducted by Central Government through CBSE instead of APTET, if they so desire. Those candidates who desire to improve their APTET score shall also apply for APTET-JULY -2024.

If the candidate who is having both D.El.Ed general/special and B.Ed general /special qualifications desires to apply for all papers, he/she has to pay Rs.750/- for each paper separately.

About Examinatiom :

To bring in utmost transparency and accuracy in the conduct of examinations APTET-JULY- 2024 will be conducted through Computer Based Test in Paper1A , Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B. The candidate who intends to be teachers for Classes I to V have to appear for Paper-1A and the candidates intending to be teachers for Classes VI to VIII have to appear for paper-2A.

The candidate who intends to be teachers for Classes I to V in Special Education Schools have to appear for the examination under Paper -1B and
the candidates who intends to be teachers for Classes from VI to VIII have to appear for paper-2B in respect of Special Education Schools. The candidates who are having both D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. qualifications, intends to be teachers for all Classes from I to VIII are only eligible to appear for all papers, i.e. Paper-1A , Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B as per requisite qualifications.

Examination Fee :

The fee towards submission of application online and for the conduct of Computer Based Examination is Rs.750/- for each Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B separately. Candidates shall pay the fee through payment Gateway from 03.07.2024 to 03.08.2024 and submit online application at the APTET website http://cse.ap.gov.in from 03.07.2024 to 03.08.2024.

Examination Centre :

The APTET-JULY- 2024 will be conducted through ‘ONLINE’ in 24 districts except Manyam and ASR in Andhra Pradesh. The candidates belong to Manyam and ASR (Alluri Sita Rama Raju) district can opt examination centres in the nearby districts. A window will be opened to the Candidates to opt the DISTRICT and SESSION in the available centers indicated in the website.

The examination centers will be closed based on the option exercised by the candidate (This will be purely on first come first serve basis). No change of the examination center will be allowed once opted during the window. If once the session capacity of the centers is exhausted then the candidate should choose another date and another session at available districts. If the candidate failed to opt Examination centre in the prescribed date mentioned above. The department will allot the examination centre in the available examination centers.

Eligibility Criteria :

The candidates at the time of applying for APTET-JULY- 2024 should possess minimum qualifications prescribed Paper-1A , Paper-1B for a teacher for I to V classes, and Paper-2A, Paper-2B for a teacher for VI to VIII classes as given in Information Bulletin. The candidates, who are pursuing final semester in any of the Teacher Education Courses recognized by the NCTE( National Council for Teacher Education) or the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India), can also appear for the APTET –JULY- 2024.

However, it is clarified that appearance or a pass in APTET by itself will not vest any right for the candidate to be considered for appointment to the post of Teacher in Government / Zilla Parishad / Mandal Parishad / Municipal/AP Model School / Welfare Schools / Society Schools/ Private Un-aided and Private Aided Schools etc., under the control of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh unless he/she possess the qualifications prescribed for appointment to such post in the relevant statutory recruitment rules framed by State Government from time to time or by the said management as on the date prescribed therein., and also pass in Teacher Eligibility Test. The details of qualifications prescribed for APTET-JULY-2024 are provided in the Information Bulletin.

Pass Criteria in TET Paper- 1A, Paper- 1B & Paper- 2A, Paper-2B :

APTET-JULY- 2024 Tentative Results will be declared after completion of
examination. However the final result will be given after final key as per the
scheduled. The criteria for considering pass mark in APTET-JULY-2024 are
as follows:

Validity period of TET Certificate / Marks Memo :

APTET Certificate / Marks Memo shall remain valid for life time in accordance with NCTE guidelines dated: 09.06.2021 as amended by the
Government in G.O.Ms.No.69, Dated: 25.10.2021. The validity of TET qualifying certificate acquired prior to 09.06.2021 shall be life time as per G.O.Ms.No.69, Dated: 25.10.2021. This certificate will also be made available in Digi- Locker from date and time of TET result.
